Just as God begins his influence by working in us that we may have the will so does God complete it by working with us when we have the will. The love of God is the highest good we can obtain and the only good which brings real happiness. Young people want basically the same things adults seek...truth, goodness, beauty, love. Once they discover that God is the perfect object for their affection, they begin a spiritual journey leading to real happiness. I was actually doing a search for Snow Patrol and their spiritual beliefs. I have a home church in Texas and it is an amazing group of individuals striving to love God and love others. If I had to boil what being a Christian is all about, it would be those two things. Maybe have your kids read Practicing the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence, and/or Blue Like Jazz by Don Miller.
